Realising that they share common foes in Margaret Thatcher, the police and the conservative press, London-based gay and lesbian activities lend their support to striking miners in 1984 Wales.
Based on a true story this movie highlights the compassion and courage of the young activists in confronting injustice and persevering through rejection, prejudice and misunderstanding to gain acceptance, friendship and respect.
What has been gained in the past three decades and what are the opportunities and challenges today?
