Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is help given by one Christian to another, which enables that person to pay attention to God's personal communication to him or her, to respond to this personally communicating God, to grow in intimacy with this God, and to live out the consequences of the relationship. The Full Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life
Retreat Team
For busy people, who are focussed on prayer, and who are desiring to deepen their relationship with God, one way of making the Exercises is through the Nineteenth Annotation, which is also known as The Retreat in Daily Life. Not all of us are able to set aside time to go away for thirty consecutive days to make the Ignatian Thirty Day Retreat One of the advantages of the Retreat in Daily Life is that the person making this Retreat is able to live and work in their own environment, and yet still pray and make the Ignatian Thirty Day Retreat over a period of thirty weeks. The meditations and spiritual exercises that are prayed, are those of the Thirty Day Retreat.  All the components of the Ignatian method of prayer are incorporated. For example, there are the Preparation Days, and the Four Weeks of the Ignatian Retreat.

There is the commitment made to a daily prayer time, and the Examen that is prayed at the end of each day.One of the blessings of this Retreat is that all of our daily life can be integrated into our daily prayer and the spiritual exercises of that particular day. Another blessing of The Retreat in Daily Life is that this Retreat does not conclude, as other retreats do, on a particular day, but lives on in us, as very much part of our daily living. Those who have made The Retreat in Daily Life, many years ago, find that they have a continued desire for prayer. Their discernment and thought patterns have greater clarity, their prayer has deepened, and they have a better understanding of their own self, and their journey with God. At Campion we offer the Spiritual Exercises as Retreat in Daily life to religious and lay people from all walks of life.  Are the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius in Daily Life for you?  If you are seeking to deepen your relationship with God and to discern what God wants for you, then the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life may be just what you are looking for.   Email or call us now for more information or download an application form now.
